Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Codepur ("Company", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use LazyReel ("Service"). This policy complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.

1.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVV, or bank details. Stripe's privacy policy applies: stripe.com/privacy

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your video/audio/image files - All media processing happens locally on your device
• Your API keys (BYOK mode) - Stored exclusively in your local app settings, never transmitted
• Your project files - Saved locally on your device
• Your exported videos - Rendered locally, saved to your chosen directory

3. Cloud AI Usage

When using Cloud AI (managed API, paid plans only):

• Your captions/script text is sent to AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic) for processing.
• We proxy these requests through our server. Your content is processed and immediately discarded.
• We do not store, log, or train on your content.
• AI provider privacy policies also apply.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

• Firebase Auth Token: Stored in browser/Electron local storage for session persistence.
• App Settings: Stored locally (API keys, preferences, cached license).
• Clarity: Uses first-party cookies for session analytics.
• We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

6. Data Retention

7. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and data.
• Withdraw Consent: You may stop using the Service at any time.
• Grievance Redressal: File a complaint with our Grievance Officer or the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Data Security

• Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
• Firebase provides encryption at rest for stored data.
• API keys in BYOK mode are obfuscated at rest on your local device.
• We follow reasonable security practices as prescribed under the IT Act, 2000.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us for deletion.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
